Safety Information
AURORA is a preparation aid. It does not issue flight clearance, replace official information or assume operational responsibility.
Only fly when the operation is lawful, the aircraft is safe and current official information has been checked.
Before every flight
- Check applicable national and local rules, geographical UAS zones, restrictions and required permissions.
- Use the responsible official AIS/NOTAM source; an AURORA link or status is not proof that the airspace is clear.
- Assess weather, visibility, wind, gusts, precipitation, temperature and manufacturer limits at the actual site.
- Inspect aircraft, propellers, batteries, remote control, firmware, payload, Remote ID and failsafe/RTH settings.
- Protect people, property, privacy, emergency routes and critical infrastructure.
GPS, weather and external services
Device GPS can be inaccurate or unavailable. Reverse geocoding and weather values come from external services and may be delayed, incomplete or different from local conditions. Verify important values independently.
READY / NO GO
READY means only that the configured AURORA gates were marked complete. It is not an authority decision, insurance confirmation or legal approval. A NO GO indication must never be bypassed merely to complete a mission.
Emergencies and incidents
Prioritise people and immediate hazard control. Follow the aircraft emergency procedure, land safely when possible and contact the responsible emergency or aviation authority where required. Preserve relevant records after an incident.
